MoDOT Closes Highway 14 West of Ava

Herald staff photos On Monday, May 13, MoDOT officially closed Highway 14, west of Ava to traffic, citing recent flood waters had eroded the roadway and rendered travel unsafe.  In the Dogwood Hill area, as shown in these photos, the roadway has lost its foundation and is sliding downhill.
