Circuit Law Day for October 12, 2020

During Circuit law day on October 12, 2020, the following defendants were sentenced to the Department of Corrections:
Daniel Holmes, 57, Gassville, Arkansas, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for Tampering With a Motor Vehicle after he admitted to violating his probation. The original offense occurred in November of 2019 and was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
Mistie Lee-Dawn Hill, 37, Gainesville, was ordered to complete 120 days in prison for two cases of Possession of Methamphetamine after she admitted to violating her probation. Hill was ordered to complete Institutional Treatment within the Department of Corrections. The original offenses occurred in January of 2018 and July of 2018 and were investigated by the Ava Police Department and the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
There were 32 felony cases on the docket with some still being conducted by video. There were 3 felony guilty pleas, 3 probation revocations and 1 failure to appear warrants issued.
