Bears Den After-School Program Is Off and Running

With the opening of school last week, the Bears Den After-School Program is now in session.  The program is offered to all students PK-12th grade from 3:15 to 6:15 each evening when school is in session.  The cost is $1 per evening for students on full lunch, $.75 per evening for students on reduced lunches and $.50 per evening for students on free lunches.  For those who need it, transportation is provided with limited routes and with designated stops similar to Summer School.

Various classes are offered for middle school students on alternating nights. On Mondays Caring Kids and Archery will be offered.  Tuesdays will be Robotics and Cooking.  Wednesdays will be Computer Lab and 5th and 6th Drama Club.  Thursday will be 7th and 8th grade CNC classes and Computer Lab.  Friday will be 5th and 6th Quiz Bowl and Spelling Bee.  New classes will be added every so often so kids will get to experience different activities.
