October Academic Students of the Month at Ava High School

Ava High School Students of the Month were recognized Tuesday at the monthly Chamber of Commerce luncheon meeting. Ava Victory Academy’s Student of the Month was not available on Tuesday and will be recognized at the November meeting.
Students of the Month at Ava High School this month are Hannah Dudley and Zach Taylor. They were introduced by Principal Teresa Nash.
Hannah Dudley is the daughter of Vicki and Randy Dudley.
Some of her involvement includes National Honor Society, Anchor Club, Video Productions, Spanish Club, Newspaper, Pep Club, and the A+ Program.
She has volunteered with Camp Barnabus and helped with Bears Den afterschool program.
After high school Hannah plans on attending Vanderbilt or Missouri State University for the first four years then going to Missouri State University’s Physical Therapy Program.
Hannah is a very diligent student who takes her grades seriously, which is shown by her high GPA. She takes challenging courses in order to prepare herself for college. Her teachers say that Hannah is a very witty student and a pleasure to have in class.
Zach Taylor is the son of Trampus and Rena Taylor.
He is involved in Fellowship of Christian Athletes, track, football, Pep Club, Yearbook, and the A+ Program.
Zach has volunteered his time tutoring in the A+ program, participated in the Joplin clean-up, volunteered in several activities at the Ava Assembly of God Church, and has assisted with house repairs for community members in need.
After high school, Zach plans on going to College of the Ozarks for a pre-med degree and then would like to go to a medical school and major in neurology.
Zach is a very creative student who takes upper level courses to prepare for college. His teachers say that he is always smiling and enjoys helping his peers and teachers in the classroom.
