Norwood School Board Accepts Resignations, Hires New Staff Members

The Norwood R-1 School Board met Tuesday, April 17. The agenda was adopted and the consent agenda items were approved.

John Eaton, superintendent, reported on budget, utility usage and other district business.

Dana Webb, elementary principal, reported on enrollment and other news from EC-5.

Marcella Swatosh, high school principal, reported on enrollment and other news from 6-12.

Resignations for the 2012-2013 school year were accepted from Marge Franklin, Megan Sowers, and Saundra Hill.

Ashley Clayton and Chantelle Emmerson were hired for Elementary education positions.

The Board of Education adopted policy GBLB concerning references on past employees and disclosers of sexual misconduct on past employees to potential employers.

Next Norwood R-1 School Board Meeting will be Thursday May 17 at 5 p.m. in the high school library.
