U.S. Marshals Arrest Man on Douglas County Capias Warrant

A man wanted on a Douglas County warrant was taken into custody April 15, 2026, in Greene County by members of Operation Relentless Pursuit and the U.S. Marshals Service, according to the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office.
Ronnie Collins was arrested on a capias no-bond warrant for stealing a motor vehicle.
The charge stems from an investigation conducted by Deputy Dalton Martin in July 2023 involving a stolen four-wheeler in eastern Douglas County. Authorities said the vehicle was later located in Howell County, disassembled at Collins’ residence.
According to the sheriff’s office, Collins was initially arrested on a grand jury indictment on May 17, 2024, and held on a $10,000 cash-only bond. He was released on his own recognizance on July 30, 2024.
Officials said Collins later violated the terms of his bond multiple times. A summons was issued Feb. 3, 2025, followed by a warrant issued April 23, 2025, for violating bond conditions. Collins was arrested and served seven days in the Douglas County Jail. A second bond violation warrant was issued June 17, 2025, resulting in another arrest and seven-day jail stay.
Authorities said Collins again violated bond conditions on Nov. 19, 2025, and appeared in court Nov. 24, 2025, where he was continued on CPS supervision.
On March 19, 2026, Collins was found to have violated bond conditions by using methamphetamine. Officials noted the incident marked his seventh pretrial release violation, leading to the issuance of the capias no-bond warrant.
Sheriff Chris Degase expressed appreciation to Operation Relentless Pursuit and the U.S. Marshals Service for their assistance in apprehending Collins.
Collins is currently being held in the Greene County Jail awaiting extradition to Douglas County.
All charges are allegations, and defendants are presumed innocent unless and until proven guilty in a court of law.
