Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Fourth of July celebration in Ava moves to July 17

Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare Center’s 40th annual Fourth of July Celebration was rescheduled from its original date of Friday, June 26, due to rain forecasts.

The event will now be held Friday, July 17, beginning at 6 p.m. Fireworks are scheduled to begin at dark.

The celebration will include a dessert bar, crafts, kids games and activities, cotton candy, color guard, bingo called by Copeland, music, hamburgers and hot dogs, funnel cakes, local vendors, Crystal Lake Fishery Trout Pond for fishing, inflatable activities, a dunking booth, car show, free parking and a large silent auction.

Entertainment will be provided by Buster Clifton Davis. The Mr. and Miss Firecracker Pageant will begin at 4:30 p.m.

A shuttle service will be available to and from Old Murphy’s Station at the bottom of the hill.

Those attending are encouraged to bring lawn chairs or blankets for an evening of family, music, food and fireworks.
