Associate Court docket includes 40 criminal cases

During Judge Elizabeth Bock’s Associate Court docket on June 18, 2026, there were 40 criminal cases on the docket.  There were 4 felony cases, 32  misdemeanor cases and 4 infractions.    There were 6 misdemeanor and/or infraction guilty pleas entered and 6 failure to appear warrants were issued.    Four defendants were set for preliminary hearing and 2 cases were set for bench trial.

Emily R. Morris, 19, Gainesville, entered a plea of guilty to the class B misdemeanor of Driving While Intoxicated and pursuant to a plea agreement, was given a suspended imposition of sentence.  Morris was placed on 2 years of supervised probation with Court Probationary Services.  Morris also entered a plea of guilty to the class A misdemeanor of Resisting Arrest and was sentenced to 2 days in the Douglas County Jail.  The offenses occurred in October of 2025 and were investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.
