Buzzing Into the Season: Bee Talk Set for Ava Farmers Market

The Ava Farmers Market will welcome its first guest speakers of the season this Saturday, May 2, offering visitors a chance to learn more about bees and beekeeping during the morning market.

The market will be open from 8 a.m. to noon, with a special “Bee Hive Talk” scheduled for 10 a.m. in the gazebo. The presentation will feature Ava Bee Club members Paul, the club’s president, and Tim Brubeck, who will bring a conservatory hive for an up-close educational experience.

Attendees will have the opportunity to observe the hive safely and learn about the role of bees, hive structure, and the importance of pollinators in local agriculture. Organizers encourage visitors to stop by during the presentation to ask questions and gain a better understanding of beekeeping practices.

The event marks the first speaker session of the season for the Ava Farmers Market, with more educational opportunities expected throughout the summer.
