Trail of Treats coming to Ava
The City of Ava and Ava City Park are teaming up to host the first annual Trail of Treats, a new community event that invites families, and even leashed pets, to enjoy a fun evening of costumes, candy, and fall festivities on Halloween night, Friday, October 31.
Organizers say the event is designed to bring the community together and provide a safe, family-friendly way to celebrate the Halloween season. Participants are encouraged to dress up and enjoy the festivities while candy supplies last.
Parking will be available in several areas throughout the park:
Upper Park: along the fence line as done during soccer games and practices, near the playground and bathrooms, and behind the ball field stands.
Lower Park: in the parking lot by the pickleball court, in front of the pool, and at the new pavilion.
Additional parking will also be open at the Maintenance Shed and Electric Shed on Evans Street. City officials remind attendees not to block garage doors, gates, or entrances, as city trucks may need to respond to outages or emergencies. Parking will not be permitted at Ava Redi-Mix.
City staff encourage everyone to come out, have fun, and make the inaugural Trail of Treats a success.
