Town & Country Bank Celebrates 125 Years in Banking Industry

Town & Country Bank, locally lead in Ava, by Sheldon Shaver, has reached a rare milestone of 125 years in the banking industry! With a local Board of Directors and a charter that dates back to 1894, it has been well over a century since the bank first opened its doors.

Since then, Town & Country has grown to be one of the largest community banks in South Central Missouri, serving eight communities including Salem, Rolla, Licking, Bourbon, Mountain Grove, St. James, Ava, and Pevely. There are 165 employees spread amongst ten branches.

The bank was chartered in 1894, and later acquired by the Gott family in 1993. The Gott family remains as the present-day owners with Roger Gott serving as President and Chairman of the Board. Under Gott’s leadership, three small community banks were merged into a single institution, Town & Country Bank.

“The bank has a remarkable 125-year legacy of service to our customers and communities.  I am excited to continue building on our strong commitment to customer service and innovation,” said Ray Skinner, Chief Executive Officer.

The bank has seen a tremendous amount of change over the past 125 years and remains committed to providing smart, friendly, solutions to the communities it serves. Visit www.tcbanks.com for more details. Member FDIC/Equal Housing Lender.
