Local FFA Students Attend National Convention

On Tuesday, Oct. 23, thirteen Ava R-I FFA students departed for National Convention in Indianapolis, Indiana. These students were eligible because they excelled in selling items for the FFA fundraiser and were the top 13 producers. During the trip, the group had the opportunity to visit Meramec Caverns, Cahokia Indian Mounds, Louisville Bat Factory, National FFA Rodeo, and the 91st National FFA Convention and Expo. According to sponsors Brent Lakey and Rebecca Perkins, the trip was an amazing learning opportunity for each and every student. Both Lakey and Perkins express appreciation for the FFA Booster Club for providing spending money for meals as well as community members who generously support and contribute to the Club.
