PSC Approves Agreement in Ridge Creek Water Company Rate Increase

JEFFERSON CITY –– The Missouri Public Service Commission has approved an agreement in a water rate case filed by Ridge Creek Water Company, LLC (Ridge Creek), which authorizes the company to increase annual water operating revenues by approximately $52,925, effective August 1, 2017.

According to its filing, Ridge Creek has incurred and is expected to incur, significant expenses in equip-ment replacements and additions to bring the company in compliance with state regulations.

The agreement approved by the Commission was submitted by the Staff of the Missouri Public Service Commission, Ridge Creek and the Office of the Public Counsel. The Office of the Public Counsel is a separate state agency which represents the general public in cases before the Commission.

For a residential water customer using 3,000 gallons of water a month, water rates will increase from $24.68 a month to $48.92 a month.

Ridge Creek provides water service to approximately 138 customers in Pulaski County near Waynesville, Missouri.
