NOMINEES SELECTED FOR UNIVERSITY OF MISSOURI EXTENSTION COUNCIL MEMBERS –
DOUGLAS COUNTY
Citizens of voting age in Douglas County, pursuant to the provisions of Sec. 262-577, RSMO 69, will have an opportunity to vote and elect members to the University of Missouri Extension Council in January. The elected and appointed members of the Extension Council will guide and direct extension work within Douglas County. The election is based on the county at large as two districts, with the goal of equitable distribution of representation. The ballot lists the following five names as nominees for four positions: Max Murphy, Stan Lovan, Cathy Dalton, Ross McElvain, David Meier.
Additional nominations can be made by petition of 25 or more qualified voters residing within the district, filed with the council within 20 days after a publication of this notice of election forms for nominations and ballots are available at the Douglas County Extension Center, 203 SE 2nd Ave, Ava, MO 65608, 417-683-4409.
