Sidewalk Work Will Affect Traffic On Highway 14/Bus. Route 5

Motorists in Ava can expect rerouting of traffic on Highway 14/Bus. Route 5 (NW 12th Ave.) in Ava during the coming week as crews perform sidewalk work in that area.

This section of roadway is located from Route 5 to Jefferson Street in Ava.

Weather permitting, work will take place beginning today (Thursday) through Friday, Aug. 31. The work will be done between the hours of 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs. Traffic will be shifted from the westbound lane to the center turn lane in order to perform work. Motorists are urged to use caution while traveling in the area.

Shoulder work is also scheduled on Highway 5 in Douglas and Ozark counties next week.

Route 5 will be reduced to one lane as Missouri Department of Transportation crews perform shoulder repairs from Route JJ at Squires to Route 95 at Wasola.

Weather permitting, this work will take place Monday, Aug. 27 through Thursday, Aug. 30 from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. daily.

The work zone will be marked with signs.  Motorists are urged to use extreme caution while traveling near the area.
