Air Evac Will Move From West Plains

Headquarters Will Be Relocated to O’Fallon

West Plains- On Wednesday, June 13 Air Evac Lifeteam, a provider of air medical transportation for rural communities, announced that they plan to move their corporate office from West Plains to O’Fallon, moving 120 employees.

“It is sad and frustrating to see them go,” said Rep. Ward Franz (R-West Plains). “Things are tough all over Missouri right now – especially in our area. We talk a lot about job creation, and cherry-picking jobs from one part of the state and moving them to another is not good policy for job creation. The loss of those good jobs will be felt by the community. But, with that said, I want us as a community to stick together to support and encourage the Air Evac employees who are staying and reassure them that West Plains is a good place to call home.”

While the headquarters will be located in O’Fallon, Air Evac Lifeteam will maintain a communications center in West Plains and a facility in Lewisville, Texas.

“We have so much to offer in south-central Missouri,” said Franz. “We must continue to work together to create a climate that will entice business and corporations to want to locate here and stay, while maintaining our rural way of life. As a member of the General Assembly, it is my obligation to push for legislation that supports and promotes a healthy business environment where business owners are free from burdensome government regulations and crazy bureaucratic red-tape.”

Air Evac Lifeteam plans to have the O’ Fallon office operational by November 2012.
