COVID Cases Climb Again

According to Valerie Reese of the Douglas County Health Department, “Here in Douglas County we are seeing increases in cases with the latest number of new cases at 11 for this week with 1 breakthrough vaccine case. Ozark County is seeing an increase is cases,  Wright County has seen over 30 new cases this week and Texas county has seen 28 cases in the last 3 days. Texas County has also reported 8 individuals hospitalized and 5 breakthrough vaccine cases in the last 7 days.”

Reese goes on to say “Douglas County received notification of the UK variant in two of our cases from April and May. The Sewershed Project has identified the India variant in Texas County, near Licking, and also in Christian County.”
