Two Crashes Injure Five

On June 10th, a 2007 Dodge Ram driven by Ronald Sobanek of Douglass, Kansas ran off the road on highway 181, eleven miles east of Van Zant. The truck struck a ditch and overturned.
Sobanek sustained moderate injuries and was transported by helicopter to Cox South Hospital in Springfield. He was not wearing a seat belt.
The crash was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper Wadlington.
On June 12th at 2:30 p.m., a 2004 GMC Envoy driven by Jacob Coon, 18, of Drury traveled off the left side of County Road 246, three miles east of Champion, overturned, and struck a tree.
Coon was wearing a seat belt and sustained moderate injuries. Also in the vehicle were Mykaela Wild, Adrian Roberts, and a juvenile. The three passengers were not wearing seat belts. Wild and Roberts sustained minor injuries, while the juvenile received serious injuries. All went to Mercy Hospital in Springfield.
The accident was investigated by Missouri State Highway Patrol Trooper L. S. Elliott.
