Anthony “Tony” Scott Vaughn

Anthony “Tony” Scott Vaughn, 58, passed peacefully from this life on June 3, 2021, surrounded by family and close friends at his home in Cushing. Arrangements were entrusted to the care of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
Tony was born on February 27, 1962 to proud parents Harold and Margaret (Tone) Vaughn. He was raised in Mansfield, Missouri and would enlist in the United States Navy after High School. Upon release from service, he moved to Cushing, Oklahoma. He married Janet Palmer in 1982 and one child Christy was born. Tony took great pride in, and loved his job and colleagues at Sertco Industries where he worked for around 20 years. He later married Angela Imry on March 9, 2010 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He worked with HOMECO with FEMA during hurricane Katrina and he also worked with Cushing Emergency Management team with Bob Noltsenmyer. He was proud of that and they loved each other. Tony loved playing golf, being outdoors, and spending time with his family camping, boating, and throwing grandkids off the tube at the lake.
Tony is preceded in death by his parents.
He is survived by his wife Angela of the home; daughter, Christy and husband Shawn Davis of Wichita Falls, TX; step-children, Aaron Britton of Cushing, OK, Stephanie and husband Josh Toles of Parkland, OK; Tiffany and husband Luke Newport of Grand Junction, CO; and Nathan Britton of Stillwater, OK; sister, Diana and husband Charles Millsap of Lucene, OK; grandchildren, Teona Heinlein, Koda Davis, Dodge Davis, Kayleigh Britton, Landon Toles, Quinn Toles, Connor Newport, and one on the way. He is also survived by his nieces and nephews and lots of friends.
A Memorial Service was held to celebrate Tony’s life at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, June 9, 2021 at the Chapel of Palmer Marler Funeral Home, Cushing, Oklahoma.
