Michael Joe Cox

Michael Joe Cox, 52 years, 2 months, 9 days old, passed away on November 17, 2020 at Wellstar Cobb Hospital in Austell, Georgia.
Mike was born September 8, 1968 in Rock Island, IL to Earnest Joe Cox and Pamela (Speed).
Mike was a Tower Crane Operator working in construction.
If Jack Daniel’s had a Sponsor Mike would be it. Preferred to be called Crane Dog, a nickname he picked up from being a hard worker across the United States. He loved helping people, he never knew a stranger and would give you the shirt off his back. Mike played just as hard as he worked by enjoying the outdoors and being on the water.
Mike was preceded in death by maternal and paternal grandparents.
He is survived by his three children, Chelsea Roberts of Springfield, MO, and Mikina and Mikayla Cox of Tollesboro, KY; two granddaughters, Abigail and Gwyneth Roberts, his father and step mother, Earnest Joe & Jan Cox of Ava, Mo; his mother, Pamela and Carl Hicks of Springfield, MO, four siblings, Jeff Hicks of Salida, CO, Larry and Holly Cox of Andover, IL, Jamie & Hailey Cox of Council Bluffs, IA, and Aren Jo Cox of St. Cloud, FL; and nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
