Circuit Law Day November 3, 2020

During Circuit law day on November 3, 2020, the following defendants were sentenced to the Department of Corrections:  

William R. Wolfe, Jr., 54, Ava, was sentenced to 12 years in prison for Possession with Intent to Deliver methamphetamine after admitting to violating his probation.  The original offense occurred in February of 2019 and was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.   

Austin D. Nelson, 25, Ava, was sentenced to 6 years in prison for Stealing a Firearm and 2 counts of 2nd Degree Burglary, which will run concurrent to each other.  Nelson also admitted to violating his probation and was sentenced to 4 years in prison for 2nd Degree Burglary after he admitted to violating his probation. The cases will run consecutively for a total of 10 years.  The current case occurred in August of 2020 and was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.  The probation offense occurred in May of 2016 and was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.  

Ricky D. Wallace, 33, Lebanon, was sentenced to 4 years in prison for Resisting Arrest and 1st Degree Property Damage after he admitted to violating his probation.  The original offenses occurred in May of 2018 and was investigated by the Douglas County Sheriff’s Department.

Ashley J. Fox, 34, West Plains, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Possession of Methamphetamine after admitting to violating her probation.  The offense occurred December of 2018 and was investigated by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.

There were 41 criminal cases on the docket.  There were 40 felony cases and 1 misdemeanor case with some still being conducted by video.    There were 4 felony guilty pleas, 4 probation revocations and 2 failure to appear warrants issued.
