Harold Lavern Beardsley

Harold Lavern Beardsley, 93 years, 4 months, and 26 days, passed away on October 18, 2020 at The Center at Waterfront in Wichita, KS.

Harold was born May 22, 1927 in Red Oak, IA to Roy Dee and Ethel Berdina (Jackson) Beardsley.

Harold was a Navy Veteran and served during WWII.

On February 8, 1947, Harold Beardsley and Lyndell Everett were united in marriage in Almeda, CA and to this union three children were born. They were married for over 68 years!

Harold enjoyed singing and playing his guitar in church. He also loved working on cars whenever he could. He was always there ready to help others.

He is proceded in death by his wife, Lyndell in 2015.

Harold is survived by three children and their spouses, Kerry & Sandy Beardsley, Stockton, CA, Rhonda & Mike McGuire, Goddard, KS and Kirk Beardsley, Wichita, KS, 15 grandchildren; Doug, Angela, Marla, Scott, Cheryll, Michael, Cindy, Dennis, Danette, Brandon, Jenny, Ken, Melanie, Danielle and Joe, 19 great-grandchildren, 4 great-great-grandchildren, many nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services for Harold will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 at 1:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel; Ava, MO. Burial will be in the Dyer Cemetery (U Hwy), Ava, MO with full military honors by Troy Herd American Legion Post 112 and U.S. Navy Detail. Visitation will be Saturday, October 24, 2020 from noon to service time.  Officiating will be Pastor Michael Serrato.  Memorials may be made to Dyer Cemetery.
