Eugene Maggard

Eugene Maggard, 90 years, 9 months, 6 days old, passed away on October 6, 2020 at his home with family by his side.

Eugene was born December 31, 1929 in Hercules, MO in Taney County to Elihu and  Lottie (Lewis) Maggard.

Eugene was retired from working years with the Missouri State Hwy Dept. and he was also a farmer.  

On February 13, 1947, Eugene and Betty Combs were united in marriage at Harrison, AR and to this union were blessed with four children.

Eugene was a Christian and a member of Hercules Church. He enjoyed gardening, keeping his yard neat and mowed, sucker grabbing and coon and turkey hunting with Duane. He loved attending church and always looked forward to his daily walks.

He was preceded in death by his parents, his son, Duane Maggard, great granddaughter Kacie, one brother, James Maggard, and two sisters, Dora Herd and Lorene Rhoads. 

Eugene is survived by his wife Betty, his three daughters and their spouses, Judy & Bo Bonner of Bradleyville, Joyce & Randy Adams of Ava, and Margaret & Bob Dalton of Bradleyville, grandchildren; Rob Dalton, Donna Horner, Georgi Clark, Justin Bonner, Jessica Martin, Jenny Perkins, Marla Moore, and Samuel Maggard, 10 great grandchildren; Dusty, Brett, Travis, Heather, Cassondra, Kelsey, Dean, Bailey, Michaela and Lacey, 13 great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

A Visitation for Eugene was Saturday, Oct. 10th, 2020 from 1:00 p.m. to 2:00 p.m. at the Hercules Church in Bradleyville, MO then following with graveside services at 2:30 p.m. at Patterson Cemetery, Bradleyville, MO.
