Flag Retirement

Submitted Photos The local VFW Post 5993, Auxiliary 5993 held a flag retirement Ceremony on June 21st on the Ava Square. Participating in the flag ceremony was VFW, Douglas County Girl Scouts and Ava Fire Department. Commander Rob Hennes read a statement to the crowd, the crowd recited the Pledge of Allegiance, then the flags were retired by the Girls Scouts, members of the Post and Auxiliary and members of the community.
