Registration for “Ag Lenders Seminar” Offered in West Plains and Mt. Vernon Due  Nov. 28

OZARK, Mo. — Agricultural lenders know it is important to stay up on current trends during rapidly changing times. That is why University of Missouri Extension is again offering its popular “Ag Lenders Seminar: Financing Agriculture in Changing Times” workshop.

The first “Ag Lenders Seminar” will be held from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesday, Dec. 5 at the Southwest Research Center, 14548 Hwy. H., Mount Vernon.

The second “Ag Lenders Seminar” will be from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., Friday, Dec. 7 at the Howell County Extension office, East Towne Village, 1376 Bill Virdon Blvd, West Plains.

The Agriculture Lenders Seminar targets lenders who are maintaining or developing an agriculture loan portfolio. Lenders attending are provided with the most current agricultural commodity outlook for the upcoming year (for livestock and crops) and are updated on current trends in agricultural land prices and rental rates as well as farm profit trends.

Program speakers will include Joe Horner, MU agriculture economist, and Jim Spencer Jr and Jennifer Lutes, both regional agriculture business specialists.

There is a cost of $50 for these seminars (payable to Christian County Extension), but the fee includes lunch and a Missouri Farm Financial Outlook book.
