Missouri Arts Council To Host Grant Workshop

Missouri Arts Council is hosting their annual fall Grant Information Workshops, held in nine cities throughout the state October 23–December 4. The two-hour workshops cover essential information on Missouri Arts Council grants, both Annual and Express (excluding Arts Education), for fiscal year 2020.

If your organization is Missouri-based and tax-exempt, and you have never applied for Missouri Arts Council funding or seek to improve your grant application, this free workshop is for you.  What you will learn:

Who is eligible to apply;

What the Missouri Arts Council funds;

What grant programs are available;

About the application and panel processes;

How to prepare support materials;

How to strategically address narrative questions.

FY 2020 is from July 1, 2019 to June 30, 2020. FY2020 is an on-year for these grant programs: 

Arts Education, Arts Council – Project Support, Electronic Media Arts, Festivals, Folk Arts, Literature, Multidiscipline, Music (Instrumental and Vocal / Presenters), Partnership (formerly Arts Services), and Touring Performers.  Grants are available to organizations, not individuals.

Area locations and dates for the grant workshop is as follows:  

Rolla, Thursday, Oct. 25, 10 a.m. – Noon, Brewer Science, 2401 Brewer Drive; 

Joplin, Tuesday, Nov. 27, 3-5 p.m., Spiva Center for the Arts, 222 West Third St.;

Springfield, Wednesday, Nov. 28, 10 a.m. – Noon, Springfield Regional Arts Council, 411 N. Sherman Parkway.
