Lonnie Dole Taber

Lonnie Dole Taber, 73 years, 0 months, 19 days old, passed away on September 26, 2018 in St. Louis University Hospital in St. Louis, Missouri with his family by his side. 

Lonnie was born September 7, 1945 in Brownbranch, Missouri to Boise Virgle and Vera (Dalton) Taber.  

Lonnie was a Christian. He loved working on his farm with his cattle and chickens. He enjoyed hunting and playing cards with his friends. In addition, Lonnie loved being with people and never met a stranger. He had a big heart for children and every child he met he gave them a dollar.

Lonnie was preceded in death by his parents and a brother, James Taber.

Lonnie is survived by his fiance, Joni Carter, his two daughters, Deanna Letterman and Lonna Taber, four grandchildren, Matt, Brittany, Hanna, and Deacon, one great grandchild, Elsie, two brothers, Russell Selvidge and partner, Patty Morgan, Selah, WA and Roy Taber and wife, Susan, Willard, MO, one sister, Lisa Rentfro and husband, J.R., Aurora, MO, numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and a host of other relatives and friends. The family wants to especially thank Tom Tillie, Larry Chance, Eudell, Tracy, and Randy Dalton, The McClurg Jam and the close neighbors for all the help given to Lonnie and the family.

Funeral services for Lonnie will be Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Patterson Cemetery, Bradleyville, MO. Visitation will be Saturday, Oct. 6th prior to service from 1:00 p.m. to service time in the funeral home. Officiating will be Rev. Randy Dalton.
