4-H Youth Horse Workshop October 20 Open to All
MOUNTAIN GROVE β Do you have a child that loves horses? Wright County 4-H is offering a new workshop open to any youth age 8-18 interested in horses.
Youth do not have to own horses to participate. 4-H volunteer Jaci Ferguson will lead the workshop. Youth will learn about horses in fun and exciting ways.
βIt does not matter if you are a beginner or already have experience with horses. Workshop will give youth hands-on interactions with horses regarding feeding, care, breeds, tack, and grooming,β said Janice Weddle, county engagement specialist in 4-H youth development with University of Missouri Extension.
The workshop will be held from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 20 at the Mountain Grove Senior Center and Fairgrounds.
Pre-registration is required. Registration deadline is Oct. 15. To register, or for more information, contact the local University of Missouri Extension office at 417-967-4545.
Cost is $30 per person. This fee is for the cost of the workshop but also allows youth to participate in as many other 4-H events and activities throughout the year as they want.
