Ozarks Small Business Incubator Offers Free Business Workshops
WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The Ozarks Small Business Incubator (OzSBI) will host several workshops through August and September, covering a variety of topics which will include small business startup processes, social media management for business, time management and more.
Speaker Series: How I Built It with Omar Galal will be held on Tuesday, Sept. 11: Join OzSBI for a new speaker series, “How I Built It.” Omar Galal, founder and leader at RainReserve and The Local Food Center in Mansfield, Missouri, will discuss how he built two successful organizations from the ground up.
RainReserve is the invention of Enginuity, LLC, an environmentally conscious manufacturing cmpany located in Mansfield, Mo. RainReserve is the top Rain Diverter for Rain Barrels made in the USA. The Local Food Center is an organization that specializes in farmer and food buyer friendly aggregation, processing, packaging and distribution. The Local Food Center helps local farmers access wholesale markets they could not access easily before.
This September Speaker Series is sponsored by the West Plains Noon Rotary Club and will be held Tuesday, Sept. 11, from 11:45 to 1 p.m. Registration deadline is Sept. 7. This series is free, and lunch will be provided.
Smart Start: Developing a Successful Business (Thayer, Mo.) – Thursday, Sept. 20: Do you dream of starting your own business, but don’t know where to begin? It’s easy to become overwhelmed in the early stages of launching a company. Learn the first steps to starting a business your own business and how to pave the way to success. This workshop will outline the first steps you need to take, how to create a business plan, and how to get a handle of the finances from the start.
This workshop will be facilitated by Ila Sloan, Financial Administrator at OzSBI, and Willis Mushrush, Business Development Specialist with the University of Missouri Extension. This Smart Start will be held Thursday, Sept. 20, from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. at the St. Paul United Methodist Church in Thayer, Mo. Workshop is free, and dinner will be provided courtesy of Thayer Pizza Inn.
