Feeder Cattle Auction for 08/30/2018
Receipts: 759 Last Week: 1402 Year Ago: 1313
Compared to last week, steer and heifer calves traded steady to 3.00 higher with yearlings not well tested. Slaughter cows and bulls traded steady to 1.00 lower. Demand was good on a light supply. Heavy rains across the area curtailed receipts today as many producers dealt with high water and soaked barnyards, however, no one was complaining. Near 12 percent of the offering were replacement cows, slaughter cows and bulls. The feeder supply included 49 percent steers, 40 percent heifers and 11 percent bulls with near 34 percent of the offering weighing over 600 lbs.
