Kitchen Fire in Ava

The City of Ava Police Department and the Ava Fire Department responded to a residential structure fire August 25, at 7:46 p.m. The fire was contained to the kitchen where the fire originated, as it also traveled into the ceiling above the stove.  The damage was quickly contained and extinguished. The incident was declared a cooking fire as the residents were cooking with oil when the stove top ignited  and caught fire to the cabinets. No one was injured.
