Football Season Kicks Off Friday with Jamboree

The Ava High School Bears will open the 2018 football season this Friday night when they travel to Springfield Catholic for the annual Jamboree.

These pre-season jamborees are held across the state as teams scrimmage against one another. For Ava the other teams involved will be Springfield Catholic, Hollister and Diamond.

The action begins at 7:00 p.m. In the jamboree each round will consist of 24 plays with each team on offense for 12 plays. Two scrimmages will run simultaneously on opposite ends of the field.

The Bears will open the regular season next Friday night at Buffalo
