Ava Country Club Cat /Dog League Holds Dinner   

After 15 weeks of golfing competition and fun, the Ava Country Club Cat / Dog League came together Friday evening for an old-fashioned cookout.  

The event was held in the clubhouse with approximately 34 golfers in attendance.  Chef Ted Storie mastered the grill and each couple brought a side dish or a dessert to share. 

League winners were announced and door prizes presented.  Everyone had fun and talked about plans for the 2019 league. 

The Cat / Dog League closed the season with 16 teams.  

Organizers extend appreciation to those who participated in the league,  and to all the local businesses and sponsors who contributed door prizes for the event. 

The Cat / Dog League season will start-up again in April 2019, please watch for future notices.  

During the evening, a hard-hitting storm suddenly came over the area and severe damage was done to the course, vehicles and golf cart sheds.  Fortunately, no one was injured.
