Robert “Bob” Getchell

Robert “Bob” Getchell, 88 years old, passed away with his family by his side on Monday, July 30, 2018 in Springfield, Mo. 

He was born April 20,1930 in Portland, Oregon, where he spent the majority of his life. He married his childhood sweetheart, Lorraine Greeley, on June 26, 1948 and were together until her death in December 2007. 

He is survived by the families of two daughters and a son, Christine (Getchell) Ramey of Murphysboro, TN; Catherine (Getchell) Andrews,  of Ava, MO; and Robert S. Getchell of Milwaukie, Oregon, as well as numerous grandchildren and great granddchildren.

Bob enjoyed traveling with his wife across the United States where he made numerous friends.  Flying remote control airplanes and raising angelfish were lifelong hobbies.

He will be laid to rest with his wife in Portland, Oregon.
