Johnnie “Chub” William Miller, Jr.
Johnnie William Miller Jr., 60 years, 1 month, 9 days old, passed away on July 31, 2018 at Cox South Springfield, MO with all his family by his side.
Johnnie was born June 22, 1958 in Springfield, MO to Johnie William and Helen (Garrison) Miller.
Johnnie was a truck driver for IWX and also worked for Champ Industries out of Seymour. He was a 1976 graduate of Ava High School and received his associates degree from OTC in Springfield, MO.
On March 5, 1983 Johnnie and Tammy McPherson were united in marriage at Ava, MO and they were blessed with four children. Johnnie and Tammy got to celebrate 35 years of marriage.
Johnnie was a Christian and a member of the Gentry Church. He was baptized when he was 20 years old. He enjoyed working on the farm and his dog, Gracie. He was a family man and loved spending time at his home especially with his grandkids
Johnnie was preceded in death by his father, Johnie in 2013, and fathers-in-law, Dale Farris and James McPherson.
He is survived by his wife Tammy, his children and their spouses, Angie & Robert Nicol, Matthew Miller, Michael & McKale Miller, and Anthony & Tiffany Clem, nine grandchildren and one-on-the way, Taylor, Johnny, Colby, Ashlynn, Lane, Greyden, Hunter, Paxton, and Lucas, his mother, Helen Miller, mother-in-law, Karen Farris, brothers, Rick Miller and wife, Theresa, and Danny Miller and fiancé, Astrid Rushford, nieces, nephews, many other relatives and numerous friends.
Funeral services for Johnnie were Saturday, August 4, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, MO with burial following in the Denney Cemetery, Ava. Visitation was Saturday prior to service from 9:00 a.m. to service time. Officiating will be Pastor Bill Comer. Memorials may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
