2017 Hootin & Hollarin Quilt Show Sept. 21-23

Organizers of the 2017 Hootin & Hollarin Quilt Show are gearing up for another successful show, and for quilters interested in participating, here are guidelines for entering.
Quilts may be checked in on Wednesday, Sept. 20 between 10 a.m. and 5 p.m., on the southwest corner of the Gainesville square, next to Ozark Computers.
All quilts are welcome except those creations previously entered in a Hootin & Hollarin Quilt show.
An entry form is required, and each form allows space for information about your quilt, such as the name of the quilter, if the item is for sale, and special notes about the quilt. Information may be written on a separate piece of paper, and then attached to the form.
In addition to quilts, and if space allows, knitted and crocheted items, along with antique quilts, will also be on display.
Quilt categories are as follows: baby quilt, wall hanging or table cloth or runner, novice – first quilt (adult over 18), embroidery or applique by machine, embroidery or applique by hand, machine pieced & machine quilted, machine pieced & hand quilted, hand pieced & machine quilted, hand pieced & hand quilted, youth –18 & under, plus four special ribbons –– judges’ choice, best in show, people’s choice, and quilt best representing the theme, “Hills, Hollows and Happy Days.”
The show opens on Thursday, Sept. 21 from 5 – 7 p.m.; with showings on Friday, Sept. 22, from 10 a.m. – 7 p.m.; and Saturday, Sept. 23, 10 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.
All quilt entries will need to be picked up Saturday, Sept. 23, after 4:30 p.m.
