Ava VFW Post 5993 Wins State, National Awards

Ava VFW Post 5993 has won “All State” for a second consecutive year and Auxiliary Post 5993 has won several awards, including being named number two in state competition for its Buddy Poppy Display. The post itself recently received the awards shown above which include Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States National Recognition Award 2016-2017 for outstanding community service program activities and the Veterans of Foreign Wars of the United States National Recognition for Veterans & Military Support Programs. VFW Commander Scott Huffman expressed appreciation to all Post members who made these awards possible and to the community for continuing to support our veterans and their families.
