Max and Mona Decker Receive Award of Appreciation

Mona recently won the door prize presented at Thursday night music. The prize is a print of a ceramic cross developed by Juanita Harrell, local artist. The prints can only be purchased at The Mill in Branson.

Max and Mona Decker recently received an award presented by Irv Reynolds, commander of the Douglas County Veterans Memorial Association. The award was presented at halftime break at the Thursday Night Music which is held at the Douglas County Veterans Facility.
The award was to show the appreciation of the veterans and the community to the Deckers for their involvement, loyalty, and support, not only of the Thursday Night Music program, but also other musical programs throughout the area including Monday jam at McClurg and the Saturday musical program at the Oldfield Opry.
Dr. Decker is a retired Ava High School principal, teacher, and college professor, and Mrs. Decker is also a retired teacher.
Irv Reynolds, commander of the DCVMA, says “It is absolutely our honor to host Thursday Night Music and on behalf of all the musical programs throughout the area, to recognize Mr. and Mrs. Decker for their attendance and support of those programs.”
