Calvin Lester Rowe, 86 years, 4 months, 11 days old, passed away on Aug. 16, 2017 at Mercy Hospital in Springfield, Mo.
Calvin was born April 5, 1931 in Ava, Mo., to Lester and Edna Ludwig Rowe.
Calvin was retired from working at Redbud Village in Ava. He had worked there for 17 years. He was also a fence builder for many years in the area.
Calvin and Fredia Mae (Gunter) were united in marriage in August 1971 at Gainesville, Mo.
Calvin was a Christian. He enjoyed fishing and riding his lawnmower. He loved visiting with people in the community.
Calvin was preceded in death by his parents; his wife Fredia in 2004; and one brother, Harley Cox.
Calvin is survived by his children, Ronnie Rowe, Linda Gast, Kevin Rowe, Connie Troy, Gary Wayne Rowe, Terry Lee Rowe, and Roger Rowe; a stepdaughter, Patricia Iacovetto; many grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Calvin will be Saturday, Aug. 19, at 10 a.m. in Clinkingbeard Chapel, Ava, Mo., with burial following in the Ava Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 9 a.m. to service time in the funeral home.
