After Setting the Bar for Town Halls, McCaskill to Hold Dozens More in Small Towns Across Missouri

MISSOURI – Building on her already-historic number of public town hall forums across Missouri, U.S. Senator Claire McCaskill will hold dozens more town halls in small towns across Missouri during the August recess. McCaskill has already held more public, in-person town halls during her time in the Senate than the rest of Missouri’s Congressional delegation combined.
“The best way for Missourians to know that their voices are heard in Washington is for me to show up, and hear them in person,” said McCaskill, who was raised in rural Missouri. “Whether they agree with me or not, every Missourian is my boss, which is why I consider it a must, to go to every corner of the state I love, to hear those ideas and concerns directly, and hold myself accountable to Missourians.”
During the August recess, McCaskill will hold twenty-five public, in-person town hall forums in Adair County, Barry County, Butler County, Camden County, Cape Girardeau County, Cass County, Christian County, Crawford County, DeKalb County, Dunklin County, Franklin County, Grundy County, Harrison County, Henry County, Johnson County, Lincoln County, Livingston County, Pike County, Polk County, Pulaski County, St. Francois County, Stoddard County, Taney County, Warren County, and Washington County.
Public town halls with Missourians have been a hallmark of McCaskill’s time in the Senate, including eighteen public forums throughout Missouri just this year.
