Ava FFA Booster Club Plans Auction, Dinner

The recently-formed Ava FFA Booster Club is excited to announce that the 1st annual Ava FFA Booster Club Auction & Dinner is scheduled for Saturday, Sept. 23.
Doors will open at 6 p.m. for the silent auction, and dinner will be served at 7 o’clock. A live auction will begin once dinner is served.
The meal will include a delicious pork dinner with sides, drinks, and homemade desserts. All proceeds will help the Ava FFA Chapter as needed throughout the year, and the organization plans to offer at least one scholarship to a graduating senior who has been active in the FFA.
Tickets are $10 in advance and $12 at the door. You may purchase your tickets at the following locations: Douglas County Herald and Century Bank of the Ozarks in Ava or contact Kerre Clark 417-880-1052, Ed Wittorff 417-543-1485, and Garry DeVore 417-686-0366.
Many Booster Club members have been actively gathering donations from the community for both the live and silent auction. Some of the items already donated include gift cards, farm supplies, kids’ toys, household items, health and beauty aids, automotive supplies, and much, much more, with items still coming in.
Ava FFA Booster Club T-shirts are also for sale.
The entire community is invited to attend this upcoming event in September. If you would like to be more involved, come to the next meeting on Thursday, Aug. 17, at 6:30 p.m. The meeting will be held at the Ag Building at the High School. See you there!
