August Is Breastfeeding Awareness Month

Notice to Readers The Douglas County Health Department is recognizing August as World Breastfeeding Awareness Month by sharing information about breastfeeding with the community through our local newspaper. Each week we will be highlighting one of the many ways the DCHD supports and encourages mothers in breastfeeding. Keep your eye out for our articles on the breastfeeding support group and breastfeeding classes. For immediate information o n any of those topics please call the DCHD at 417-683-4174.
