Local Gymnasts Compete In Springfield Saturday

Chernastics Gymnastics recreational teams competed on Sunday, June 11, in the Wild About Gymnastics Tumbling Meet held in Springfield, Mo. It was an all day event with more than 200 children competing from all over the Southwest Missouri area with ages ranging from 2 to 16. There were 12 gymnasts from Ava and Seymour areas that participated in the invitational event at Ozark Mountain Gymnastics. Preschool Division: Paisley Baunmiller, age 2, Kenna Dunbar, age 2, Stella Hadley, age 4, all received a trophy Advanced Beginner Division for age 9: Lily Fossett took 1st place, Ila White took 2nd place and Marissa Clark took 3rd place. Low Intermediate Division for age 10 & Up: Alexis Emrick took 1st place, Emma Stewart took 2nd place, Larkin Gamboa took 3rd place and Grace Stewart took 4th place. Low Intermediate Division for age 11 & Up: Lauren Brooks took 1st place overall, Angel Caudill took 4th place overall. Elite Division for age 8 & Up: Chylynn Johnson took 3rd place. All gymnasts that attended received trophies for their overall achievements.
