Craig L. Yager
Craig Lawrence Yager, 58, of Olathe, Kan., passed away on Feb. 19, 2017. Craig was born Oct. 21, 1958 to Erma Lee Davis-Cudney and Charles F. Yager in the city of Wichita, Kan.
Craig worked for Wilbert Funeral Services Inc. as the Department of Transportation Compliance Administrator. He spent 30-plus years working in all aspects of the trucking industry.
He loved playing the guitar, writing music, going on long drives, bicycling and reading anything that he could place his hands on. He spent every day with a smile on his face and he shared that smile with family, friends, and strangers without hesitation.
Craig is survived by his daughter, Tara Newhall and her husband, John, and his grandsons Kobe and Conner. He also is survived by James B. Cudney (Bernice); his siblings Charles L. Yager, Charlotte L. Beattie, Cynthia L. Winslow, and Christopher L. Yager. Finally, countless numbers of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins survive Craig. In addition, Craig is survived by Judy Speers and their son, Jason Gunther.
Craig was preceded into death by his beloved mother, Erma Lee Cudney, his father Charles, and his beloved wife, Debra.
Visitation will be held Friday, Feb. 24, 2017 at 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. at Penwell-Gabel Funeral Home in Olathe, Kan.
Graveside services will be held on Sunday, Feb. 26, at 2 p.m., at the Goodhope Cemetery, in Ava, Mo.
