Fatal Crash Friday Morning Near Roadside Park
The Missouri State Highway Patrol and Ava Rural Fire Dept. were called to a two-vehicle crash
on Highway 5 north of Ava near Gentry Roadside Park before dawn Friday morning. 
It was confirmed that one person died and another was airlifted to a Springfield hospital with serious injuries as a result of the wreck. No names have been released pending notification of next of kin.
