Edward Glen Curtis, 85 years, 0 months, 30 days old, passed away on Oct. 14, 2016 at Heart of the Ozarks Healthcare in Ava with his family by his side.
Glen was born Sept. 15, 1931 in Rockbridge, Mo., to William and Flora (Leroy) Curtis.
On Feb. 16, 1953 Glen and Lorene Stephens were united in marriage in Mountain Home, Ark., and to this union one child was born.
Glen owned and operated Glen Curtis and Son Logging for over 40 years. He also hauled hay for many friends and neighbors.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time outdoors. He especially loved spending time with his grandchildren, great-grandchildren, family and friends. He loved to sit on the porch with his cat.
Glen was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Jesse Curtis and Lowell Curtis; one sister, Florene Hardin; one grandchild, Nikki Curtis; and one nephew, Darrel Turner.
Glen is survived by his wife, Lorene of the home; one son, Ricky and Dianna Curtis, Ava, Mo.;, four grandchildren, Jesse Curtis, Dalton Curtis, Corey Neal and Rebecca Neal; three great-grandchildren, Leedy Curtis, Levi Edic and Brooklyn Neal; one niece, Darlene McGarry; and a host of other relatives and friends.
Funeral services for Glen were Tuesday, Oct. 18, 2016 at 10 a.m. in the Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo. Visitation was Monday from 5-7 p.m. Burial was in the Gentryville Cemetery. Officiating were Pastor James Hathcock and Pastor Max Stephens. Memorials may be made to the family as a love offering. Services were conducted by Clinkingbeard Funeral Home, Ava, Mo.
