TriCounty Youth Horse Show This Saturday at Ava Saddle Club

The 9th annual TriCounty Youth Horse Show will be held this Saturday, Aug. 20, at the Ava Saddle Club just west of Ava.

There will be 26 classes of competition, all for youth ages 18 and under.

The show will begin at 5 p.m. with both gaited and stock classes. There is no admission fee to spectators.

Entry fee is $3 per class with ribbons to the first 10 places. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top five places with 100 percent payback. High point winners will be named in three places each for gaited, stock and gaming/speed divisions.

In addition, all entries will go into a drawing for a free saddle, plus there will be other drawings for prizes during the show.

Classes may be combined if there are not enough entries in a class. No stallions will be allowed and a negative Coggins is required.

Boots are required and short sleeves will be permitted.

In case of rain, the show will be held the following Saturday, Aug. 27.
