Norwood R-1 School Screening Dates Set
Norwood R-1 School will be screening students for early childhood and kindergarten in coming weeks.
Screenings are a free service offered to anyone in the district regardless of whether you choose to enroll in any of the programs. This screening is required for children who will enroll in kindergarten or early childhood for the 2016-17 school year.
Screening date for kindergarten will be Friday, April 1. This will be the only screening date for next school year. Children must be 5 years old before Aug. 1, 2016, to enroll in kindergarten.
Screening dates for the early childhood program will be Wednesday and Thursday, May 4 and 5. This will be the only screening dates for next school year. Children must be 3 or 4 years old before Aug. 1, 2016, to enroll in the program.
To schedule an appointment, call 417-746-4101 ext. 156 between the hours of 8 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. Screenings will take approximately one hour.
Forms will be available during screening if you choose to enroll your child for the 2016-17 school year. This enrollment form must be signed by the parent/guardian of the child. Your child’s birth certificate, Social Security card, immunization records, and proof of residency (utility bill, driver’s license, real estate/renter’s contract) are required for kindergarten enrollment.
Because screening results need to be shared with the parent or guardian, it is preferred that they bring their child to the screening.
