PUBLIC NOTICE
The City of Ava hereby serves notice to Carl E. Smith, Route 72, Box 308, in Norwood, Missouri 65717, that we are requiring you to vacate, vacate and repair, or vacate and demolish remains of said building located at 1202 NE 6th Avenue in Ava, Missouri 65608. The dangerous structure is a remaining basement, left after the house burned. The basement is full of water, open and accessible by children and animals. Brush, trash and weeds are to be removed and made so water may not enter the basement. It may also be filled in and completely eliminated.
You may at your own risk and expense, repair, vacate, or demolish said structure and clean up property or have someone else do it, but work must be commenced and continuous in not to exceed 30 days.
The remaining basement is found to be a dangerous portion of a building as set forth in section 18-312, City of Ava, Code of Ordinances.
The property is at 1202 NE 6th Avenue and described as follows:
THAT PART OF THE ¼ SW ¼ OF SECTION 12, TOWNSHIP 26, RANGE 16, DESCRIBED AS COMMENCING AT A POINT 689 FEET SOUTH AND 446 FEET EAST OF THE NORTHWEST CORNER OF SAID FORTY AND RUN THENCE NORTH 125 FEET, THENCE EAST 110, THENCE SOUTH 125 FEET, THEN WEST 110 FEET AND TO THE POINT OF BEGINNING. SUBJECT TO ALL EASEMENTS, RIGHT-OF-WAYS, RESTRICTIONS, OR RESERVATIONS, OF RECORD.
