Ava Ag Dept Makes Police Tools

The Ava High School vocational agriculture department made a set of breaching tools for the Ava Police Department that can be used in several different situations in the Ava community. Among the tools is a ram, used for opening locked doors. This ram can be used for warrant service or making entry into a home where immediate aid is needed. Also designed by the students is a window rake to be used to take out a window to allow officers to make entry into a residence or other building. A third item made by the students is a three-section ladder that can be used to make entry through a window at a residence or into a vehicle such as through a bus window. The Ava Police Dept. is grateful to the Ava students and their instructor Brent Lakey for designing and building these tools.
